What is the AI [ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE ]

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a computer science subfield. It entails the creation of computer programs to perform tasks that would otherwise necessitate human intelligence. Learning, vision, problem-solving, language comprehension, and/or logical reasoning are all areas where AI algorithms might help.

 The Roll of AI can do .

Capable of predicting and adapting, AI uses algorithms that discover patterns from huge amounts of information.

Makes decisions on its own, AI is capable to augment human intelligence, deliver insights and improve productivity.

Continuous learning, AI uses algorithms to construct analytical models. From those algorithms, AI technology will find out how to perform tasks through innumerable rounds of trial and error.

AI is forward-looking, AI is a tool that allows people to reconsider how we analyze data and integrate information, and then use these insights to make better decisions.

AI is capable of motion and perception.

Data is at the heart of AI-assisted performance management. It doesn't have any personal preferences. It gathers data from a wide variety of sources, eliminating the possibility of data errors. As a result, AI can assist managers in giving accurate feedback that advantages both employees and the organization (Niccolai, J, 2015).


HOW CAN AI HELP EMPLOYEES

One of the advantages of AI for business is that it automates regards to controlling across a company, enabling staff to focus on creative solutions, complex problem solving, and grow professionally. As a result, people will become more successful and productive at work, and the company will be more successful (Mondy and Martocchio, 2016).


ROLE OF AI IN EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

Ø  Automated performance review:-

Seamless collection of information and more time consuming for employee performance without AI, correct data comes with real-time analysis its help to improve all the employees, its eliminates the physiological bias .

Ø  Continuous real-time assessments.

Its help to timely feedback of the improvement areas and increase the productivity

Ø  Learning and Development

Ai can easily determine the areas of improvement for their employees which help to reinvest their skills.

Ø  Remove Bias

It’s provide the unbiased work environment so everyone gets equal opportunity for promotion and pay raises.

Ø  Easily internal communication and query resolution

Automate repetitive responses so employees can find the answers for their questions.

Ø  Provide Quick and agile continuous performance feed back

Ø  Improve the quality of talent management

Ø  Robust data analytics for problem solving

Current world manual evaluation is big challenge but AI solving the big problems with automation, it’s provide the end to end visibility so there is no any disparity. 

 DISADVANTAGES OF AI IN EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

Ø  Cost:- its take too much of cost for the firm

Ø  Lack of human element: - it’s only read the coded way not the real intelligence of the employees.

Ø  Loss of crucial human potential: - it cannot be work perfect in all situations when the decision making situations the Human part is essential.

Ø  Ethical side of AI: - Data theft in the organization.

 

 CONCLUSIONS

As a response, it is important for businesses to carefully consider how and where AI will be used in the performance review process. They should carefully draw the line among AI supplementing intelligence and supporting managers in just doing their business and getting better decisions, rather than taking over their roles and becoming intrusive while gathering data.
